Albatros is available for private sport fishing charters in Cozumel, Mexico. We supply all the necessary fishing gear, the lures and the bait. We want to make your trip to the island memorable and convenient. All you have to do is come aboard and enjoy the charter! |

We use Fin-Nor, Penn International and custom Reels and Rods. If you prefer, you can bring your own gear to fish. All our trips include purified water, soft drinks, Mexican beers, snacks or fruit and light food. For your convenience we pick you up and leave you at your hotel dock. Coming in on a cruise ship or over from Playa Del Carmen? No problem. We'll meet you at an easily accessible downtown pier. At Albatros Charters we try our best to make your trips to this Mexico island as safe and enjoyable as possible. | ||

Sport fishing in the Cozumel area is primarily done with trolling where we use outriggers & down riggers and have a minimum of 5 lines in the water. Since the drop off for deep fishing is so close to the shore, travel times to begin good trolling are almost non-existent. Depending on the season you can expect to catch Sail Fish, Blue and White Marlin, (these are catch and release only) Wahoo, Grouper, Snapper, Dorado (dolphin, mahi-mahi) and Barracuda just to name a few. | ||

During the high season (March through July) you can expect to catch Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sail fish, Dolphin and Tuna. Year round, expect to catch Wahoo, Grouper, Barracuda, Mackerel, Amberjack and Snapper. |

For sport fishing the boat limit is maximum six persons and our rates are as follows: Full day: $550 for up to 8 hours fishing time. Half day: $400 for up to 4 hours fishing time. $100 deposit required to confirm any reservation. (All of our rates include the 10% IVA tax, but not the new 5% luxury tax.) NOTE: A half day of fishing can be combined with half day of diving, if desired. | ||

Our times on the Albatros were the highlights of our vacation, and that's saying something as the entire trip couldn't have been better. Your captain, Pedro, & mate, Antonio were true professionals. We had a ball fishing with them. The action was nonstop! We'll use Albatros exclusively when we're on Cozumel. Your boat is very nice and Antonio went to great lengths to be sure it was kept clean at all times. Although we caught only one fish on our trip, we had a fantastic time! While out, we saw a tuna, a large barracuda who was on the line but broke of the leader and ran, and also dolphin and combined with the sights & the most beautiful waters I have ever seen, it was a perfect trip.
