If you head out down the main waterfront street and go south about 9 kilometers, you will find a beach that is known as Paradise Beach. And it is just that.

The entrance is clearly marked with a beautiful sign out front on the main road. Paradise Beach is just past and right next to San Francisco Beach. You can get there by taxi or by renting a car from one of the many car rental agencies in town.

Once you enter the facility, you will see the large parking area and the main palapa entrance. There is where the bar and sit down restaurant are located. Lots of exotic mixed drinks to choose from as well as beers and wines.

The restaurant offers some of the most delicious dishes and appetizers. Anything you see on the menu can also be ordered and served to you on the beach. The food taste fresh and perfectly seasoned.

I will tell you right now that the Nachos with Chicken and the Shrimp Pizza are excellent. Service on the beach is great. They really take good care of you. The food arrives hot and the drinks cold and with plenty of ice.

Now for the beach - it is clean, with snow white and with lots of chairs and umbrellas. There are wooden chairs as well as aluminum folding beach chairs. There are large wooden park style tables and benches as well as small round plastic tables located between the beach lounge chairs.

NOTE: "The management requests that all patrons who use the chairs, tables, umbrellas, water toys, etc. spend at least $100 pesos per person. This helps them recover the maintainance costs of the equipment they provide and helps them keep up the quality of service that people have come to expect from Paradise Beach."

There are several water toys anchored just off shore for you to enjoy. Things to climb, bounce on, lay on, etc.

The kids will love it, but it is also a blast for adults so go have fun !!

There are also jet skis and kayaks available for rent as well as snorkel gear and flotation vests. Everything you need is here.

All in all, the Paradise Beach is a great place to spend a lazy Caribbean day. The food is great. The water is warm and clear. Plenty to keep you busy if you wish, or just laze around under an umbrella and let the warm Caribbean day just pass by.
